| 76341 | 2002-09-04 05:28:00 | Afternoon all, Yesterday I installed a new graphics card (GF4 Ti4200 :D) When I went to play GTA3 to test it out my mouse pointer was a big black square and all writing was either yellow or white blocks. Other than that the game worked fine. Any Ideas? Veale |

Don't forget to backup any saved games you may have before you uninstall, but that's the same with Tony Hawks Pro Skater II, Needed an un-install and re-install!!! Chilling_Silence |

| 76345 | 2002-09-04 21:51:00 | I'm not sure if the latest patch fixes this "blocky" text problem or not...I haven't installed it yet. But I do know that this is a know problem and the fix is actually downloadable from Microsoft. Take2Interactive give you the exact URL to get this from in the README.TXT file found in the GTA3 directory. However, if the 1.1 patch fixes this then....well....sweet! |

| 76346 | 2002-09-04 22:26:00 | Assuming you're using Windows XP, go here: www.driverforum.com It is a problem with Direct3D, and the d3d8.dll file. Do as the page says, and you should be sweet. :D |
