| 76723 | 2002-09-05 10:06:00 | So here's a weird thing. I have an Athlon 1.4G on a Via KT133a (Asus) board and have used this for maybe 9 months. Cool. So why do I now have a problem booting 98SE at 133MHz FSB. If I "underclock" to 100MHz (and a processor speed of 1050MHZ!), things go smoothly Due to the stink ol Klez virus (get the patch for outlook express to close the security hole!!) I have recently deleted that little program called "Windows 98" and clean installed. I also have XP on another partition which runs fine at full speed. Boot up stops before complete loading either at the big Windows screen with the clouds in the background, or occassionally at the network password screen. What else might I have changed to screw with this??? |
