| 76719 | 2002-09-05 09:19:00 | I have a Raid 1 setup, all the good stuff & using XP Pro but have a problem that when ever I turnon or install another storage device & it can be thru firewire, USB2 or internally to spare IDE. XP hardware wizard always tells me that the hardware cannot be installed as the filter driver is incorrect or invalid. If I ignore the wizard then all is OK, the drive is present & works fine. Is this a XP problem or what?? |

| 76720 | 2002-09-05 10:04:00 | Can be one of several things. The bus master driver for the chipset on your motherboard which provides the filter driver is one, so try downloading the latest drivers from the chipset makers site in this case. Also if using IBM drives, the DLA software (drive letter assigner) has been known to cause it. In this case removing the software (under add/remove) may fix it... |
