| 76629 | 2002-09-05 11:40:00 | Sticking my neck on the line here, as I don't have Win XP but in Internet Explorer you can change the temporary internet files location in Tools. I presume that the cookies will follow. Same goes for Outlook Express (but you use Outlook, don't you? Don't know about that one). Application data would probably be set from within each program, ie in Office you can change the default folders' locations in Options. I wouldn't think you would be able to change all the locations of everything with just one click, I would imagine it would take some hard work, unless TweakUI can do it.... |

I have a data Any idea how to move the whole lot though - I've got the my docs sorted now, but I'm wanting to move the entire thing over to another drive... I know I'm being picky, but then again, I know it can be done, and I wanna know how! :D (pedantic) Mike. Mike. |

| 76634 | 2002-09-05 12:04:00 | Mike, Have a look in the 'Help and support Centre' in Xp and search for the topic 'Folder Redirection'. Here you will find how to To 'redirect special folders to a specific path' Im hoping that this is where you will need to look to get the ball rolling Jess |

| 76637 | 2002-09-05 13:37:00 | Ah no, a little hacking the registry seems to have fixed it... now I'm back to where I started, and I think I might stay here a little while until I get up the guts again to have another go... maybe in the morning ;) Mike. |

Change the registry values to point to all the new folders. Reboot and delete the old folders. If it didn't work, windows won't let you delete them. Good luck. (How about a quick system restore point or disk image first in case you stuff it up??) G P |
