| 76580 | 2002-09-05 02:37:00 | I frequently crash my system whilst trying to print out of either Excel or Word. I am using Office 2000 and Win98. A window pops up labelled SPOOL32 and the message reads "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". At this point the system freezes and sometimes is locked solid, other times I can crash out of Excel or word. However inevitably the computer will seize up and crash shortly after the SPOOL32 message. Any assistance to rectify this problem woul;d be gratefully recieved Thanks John Robb |

There are a number of suggestions and I have started by turning off the print spooler to see if that isolates the problem. Once again thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Regards John |
