76876 2002-09-06 02:38:00 Mine worked fine... It's your turn to have the dud :p, who's next up for one??? Chilling_Silence (9)
76877 2002-09-08 00:53:00 I found it works fine in IE6 but not in Mozzila nor either of two of the Linux browsers I have tried. It seems that the complete file path is not specified for some of the links so that when you clink on them they cannot be found. aperahama (1786)
76878 2002-09-08 05:59:00 Every PC world PC I have seems to be a bit dodgy. It takes ages for them to auto run and sometimes they open twice. When I try and download a file it sits there going 'dadedadedadeda'. I must get a dud one every month, that or my computer is seriously stuffed Nuts8 (1787)

76880 2002-09-08 06:17:00 With the thousands of CD's they distribute with the magazines, it wouldn't be unusual to have the odd dud one.

Great magazine though, I usually only buy the smaller "Internet magazine" but the article on the inside look of an ISP caught my attention. I always only had a vague idea of what actually happened - now I know :)

76881 2002-09-08 06:19:00 But what are the chances of getting a dud CD every time you buy the magazine ?? Nuts8 (1787)
76882 2002-09-08 06:25:00 I always seemed to get dud CDs as well until they changed the wrapper the CD came in. That old thick plastic always had to be peeled off, glad they changed it. Since then no probs.

But I never, ever, ever, ever autostart - I found that so many autostart browser wrapper programs seem to be kludged together and required a reboot to get back the resources they seemed to swallow.

I would imagine quite remote! Could be a computer problem. Do other Autorun CD's work properly?
