| 77517 | 2002-09-08 01:39:00 | Hi all I'm getting several niggles with IE6 on a W2K system and I decided to uninstall it and reinstall. Add/Remove does not have the required entry so I can then access the Add/Repair/Remove panel for IE6. My research so far only shows that this will occur if a service pack is reinstalled when already installed in W2K but not how to recover the situation. I do not want to do the dirty and delete iexplore.exe or its directory then run a regcleaner - very untidy and not entirely conclusive. Any idea's on the way to "force" the ability for a clean uninstall in W2K ? Running an AMD K6 500 with 128M and W2K SP3. |

It didn't fix the problem which obviously goes further into the system files & config and is not just IE related, but it did get IE6 uninstalled. | Fixer-Upper (1810) | ||
