| 77359 | 2002-09-07 10:23:00 | i think this as been answered a few times before. in short NO. some modems get kicked off when an incoming call comes in. this is a BUG not a feature. |

| 77360 | 2002-09-07 10:28:00 | It can't be done. The new v.92 modem standard allows for this, but you'd both need a v.92 modem, and an ISP that supports it, as well as (I think) Telecom phone line that'll support it as well. I doubt you'll find you have all three of these just yet :) Mike. |

| 77361 | 2002-09-07 11:47:00 | As mentioned there is no string which will do this but if you get call waiting put on your line most modems will disconnect when someone calls as the call waiting tones sensed by the modem are usually enough to disconnect it and cause your phone to ring. | Jim B (153) | ||
| 77362 | 2002-09-08 09:37:00 | In the Dec Issue of Netguide I read of the Init String: +PCW=1 is placed in the Extra Settings. They stated in the following month's mag that it does not work with all modems, and that you must have Call Waiting. I tried it with my crappy Lucent Winmodem and it didn't work, so hope it does for you. Good luck! |
