| 77344 | 2002-09-07 06:52:00 | When I opened Outlook Express today the inbox was empty. All messages and subfolders had disappeared. All system folders - deleted files etc were empty too except Sent files. I subsequently found that all the DBX files were still in the normal identities folder but Outlook exp had created a new inbox! I have tried to reimport but outlook won't accept them. What next? | teft (1764) | ||

Next I would open OE, click on Local Folders then create one or more new folders with appropriate names but different to the system names, for example Folder1, Folder2 etc . Close OE and go back to your . dbx files in Explorer and rename the copies to Folder1, Folder2, etc . Reopen OE and in those folders should be your emails (fingers crossed) . I have fiddled around like this myself a few times and hopefully it will work for you too . If is does work you might like to read this ( . co . nz/thread . jsp?forum=1&thread=24430" target="_blank">pressf1 . co . nz) next . |
