77710 2002-09-08 11:24:00 Is it possible to automatically (via registry tweak presumably) make the 'connected to' status window come up full size on the desktop (Win9x) immediately dial-up is established? Only other option is to d/click the taskbar icon......main reason is to remind one that modem is still connected.

This setting is somewhere in internet options I think I see at the moment as I am on a network at NMIT and so can't check everything

Cheers

As mentioned you can have IE select to inform you and ask to disconnect when a connect may not be required (that is - you have shut down IE, Outlook Express and so on)

In IE,
Click: Tools | Internet Options | Connections
Single click your default dial up connection
Click: Settings
Click: Advanced
Select: Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed
Click: ok | ok | ok

Give that a go
