77644 2002-09-08 06:27:00 Hi I have resently downloaded Netscape Navigator 7 and my problem is I can neither access my mail or send mail Can anyone help.

Have you entered your smtp/pop3 mail settings into the configuration options?

Thanks for your immediate responce, my current browser for the moment is NS Communicator 4.7 and I believe my problem is to do with the mail configuration like you suggest as everything else seem to work.
What should the settings be for the configuration of incoming and outgoing mail. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you but I have had a hard time just trying to log on at the moment.

77647 2002-09-10 08:16:00 It depends on who your ISP is. Often it'll be something like this:

Incoming mail (pop) server: pop.ispname.co.nz or pop3.ispname.co.nz
eg. pop3.xtra.co.nz
Outgoing mail (smtp) server: smtp.ispname.co.nz
eg. smtp.xtra.co.nz
Account name: your isp login
Password: self-explanatory

77648 2002-09-10 10:12:00 If you advise your ISP we will tell you exactly what settings to put in.
Also let us know whether it is NS 4.7 or NS 7 you want to use for your mail as the two versions are set up differently.

Your ISP should also have a heldesk and 5 mins on the phone would get it sorted out.

You posted this 2 days ago, there is no reason for your email to be down for this long, it takes a few mins to fix either by phone to your ISP or by giving us all the information we need to be able to help..
