| 77620 | 2002-09-08 06:14:00 | This (crash.ihug.co.nz) webpage has a pile of thumbnails which when clicked on generate a centred, borderless window of the full-size pic. My problem is that while on my PC (98se, IE5.5) the pic displays correctly, on my mate's pc (same specs) there is a margin of about 80 pixels on the left hand side of the pic, cutting off the right hand side. The borderless window is generated by script to allow for different sized pics (it's a tad large, I'll post it if someone wants to see it). Formatting is controlled by css BODY.pop { background-color: #ffffff; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom; 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; border: thin solid black; }Does anyone here get the left-side margin; or better, explain why it only seems to occur on some machines and how to fix it? Note that it is designed specifically for IE, so sorry Netscape, Opera, etc. users - not sure how it goes in your browsers, but (constructive) comments would be welcome. :) |

| 77621 | 2002-09-08 06:50:00 | No help, but info. I checked it using Konqueror and the window is borderless and merely gives a X to close. In Netscape Communicator 4.79 the window is slightly to small and I have all options for enlarging, reduction and close. The border is grey and equal proportions around the entire image. Mozilla shows a similar window to Netscape, except that the border is white and like your friend it is missing the right hand side of the image. |
