There's been lots of posts here on problems with networking Win 98 and XP.

Does anyone have a successful procedure that they have used for a troublefree win98-xp network?

Thanks.

I installed Networking on my XP machine first, following the Networking wizard, then put the XP disk in the Win 98 machine, and selected the option there to install networking on that machine.

It all went smoothly, and with less hassle than I had experienced when initially trying to get two Win 98 machines to link up, especially with regard to Internet Connection Sharing, which is painless now (no Proxy Server needed).

78249 2002-09-10 21:02:00 Hi,
Would the same apply with a 95B machine?? i.e. putting the XP disk in the 95 machine and getting it to set it up?? Oh yeah, btw is it XP home or pro?
Thanks
