78171 2002-09-09 08:12:00 Just wondering, will PC-World be including XP SP1 on their cover disk? Would be conveniant if they did, but if not, will have to find someone willing with a broadband connection :D. Don't really wanna pay for something I can get for free either, heh.

Thanks for any info :)

78172 2002-09-09 08:26:00 I have applied it, no problems yet.
Took about 2 hours to download...

78173 2002-09-09 08:29:00 We're trying to get permission to run it.....MS are a bit funny about letting us put certain patches on our CD. Fingers crossed for this one. Scott Bartley (836)
78174 2002-09-09 10:17:00 you'd think they'd be happy to include a big "patch" like SP1 on a coverdisk, as then heaps of people would get it that might not have bothered otherwise, and they get even closer to their ultimate goal of destroying the universe (I was going to put "take over the world"...)

78175 2002-09-09 11:52:00 I'm probably going to do a one night dial-up mission once it's out at their site with actual links.

The really annoying thing is that they never seem to have a way of resuming.

78177 2002-09-09 12:42:00 I always use the corporate windowsupdate site for them as well. -=JM=- (16)
