78372 2002-09-11 01:03:00 Hey there

I have a bunch of excel documents featuring plain text fields for which the formatting is rather important - I need to change the case from UPPER to Standard Title Case. In word this is a standard feature (obviously, being a word processor), but in Excel the process requires me to retype the word, which is going to be time consuming.

I'm wondering is there a way to somehow import the command from word, or is there a tricky way to make it happen automatically in Excel- maybe a macro or something?

As I'm only a junior geek this stuff is a bit beyond me... thanks in advance

78373 2002-09-11 01:18:00 Check the Function wizard, go to TEXT on the left and highlight PROPER on the right. The formula format will appear in the lower half of the window. antmannz (28)

78375 2002-09-11 01:21:00 Excel does not have a change case, but there are add-ins available on the web.

Use your query Change Case Excel as the search words in www.google.co.nz and look around.

78376 2002-09-11 01:46:00 If your example your text is in cells in column A starting at A1
the formula "=PROPER(A1)" entered in say empty cell B1 will display the text in A1 the format required in B1.
Copy the formula down to opposite the last text cell in Column A then Copy column B and Paste PasteSpecial Values to column A.
