78781 2002-09-12 11:03:00 Hey Grandad, is Outlook Express set to go to your Inbox everytime you open it? That's fixed in Tools>Options>General.

Bit puzzled when you say there are + signs on your Inbox and Sent box though. Mine don't.

Yes O E opens to the Inbox each time.

Over time I have been creating Sub Folders
(to File the In/Out/Sent going Emails thus leaving the In/Out/Sent going mail showing only new mail)
which possibly created the + signs on the Inbox & Sent Items . Prior to the up dating OE opened to the In Box and the "Tree" displayed all the sub folders

It is no big deal to hit the +sign after opening .I was just interested to see if anyone could explain why the up date had caused the "upset"
perhapse I should't be so lazy.

Regards

78783 2002-09-14 01:19:00 Sometimes you need to use the Exit and Log Off option to get OE to remember its settings.

So, expand your folders, click File > Exit and Log Off. Reopen OE to see if it opens with the folders expanded. If so, then B-), you can now open and close OE like you used to and it will continue to remember. If not, well ...... um .........
