| 78780 | 2002-09-12 06:52:00 | Recently downloaded MS live update for INt EXPL & OUT.EXPR =2hr+ download time . Proir to the download the complete list of folders displayed( Standard & Custom Folders)now each time O.Ex is opened up it is necessary to hit the +sign on the Inbox & Sent items to achieve the full display. Have played around with the Layout dialouge box from the view menue .But no Luck Would appreciate some assistance Thanls in anticipation G.W. |

| 78781 | 2002-09-12 11:03:00 | Hey Grandad, is Outlook Express set to go to your Inbox everytime you open it? That's fixed in Tools>Options>General. Bit puzzled when you say there are + signs on your Inbox and Sent box though. Mine don't. |

Over time I have been creating Sub Folders (to File the In/Out/Sent going Emails thus leaving the In/Out/Sent going mail showing only new mail) which possibly created the + signs on the Inbox & Sent Items . Prior to the up dating OE opened to the In Box and the "Tree" displayed all the sub folders It is no big deal to hit the +sign after opening .I was just interested to see if anyone could explain why the up date had caused the "upset" perhapse I should't be so lazy. | 78783 | 2002-09-14 01:19:00 | Sometimes you need to use the Exit and Log Off option to get OE to remember its settings. So, expand your folders, click File > Exit and Log Off. Reopen OE to see if it opens with the folders expanded. If so, then B-), you can now open and close OE like you used to and it will continue to remember. If not, well ...... um ......... |
