1289281 2012-07-18 09:19:00 Is there a NZ website where I can buy music legally? I was going to buy from Amazon but found out its only for US customers. QW. (15883)

1289283 2012-07-18 10:07:00 I live in Auckland and belong to a library.
You can get 3 legal downloads using your
library card every week. The quality is good (256KB)
and the site seems to have a huge library.
The site is FREEGAL

I think mP3 based.

BUT, I'd say go give spotify a go. Free accounts do free streaming (PCs) with ads every 5 mins (pretty short), but for $12 a month you get offline access to the music, and mobile access. And OMG SOOO much music.

1289285 2012-07-18 12:30:00 I usually use 7digital (http://www.7digital.co.nz/) - would definitely recommend it. It has most of what I'm after, although there's the occasional artist I can't find there. Erayd (23)

Yeah it's stupid, If I could buy in lossless format I would never get another CD. MP3 is the most compatible format though so I can understand why Digirama at least use high bitrate MP3 as the default, I just wish someone would offer lossless as an option. I think the record companies are clinging to CD sales as the quality option and trying to keep digital downloads at a lower quality. I think that ship has sailed and eventually they'll realise it.

I have no problem listening to MP3's, I'd just like my original paid for version to be CD quality. For now I'll continue to rip my CD's and store them away.

This looks the best one so far. Has most of the music I am looking for.

1289289 2012-07-19 05:28:00 I just use this: http://grooveshark.com/

As long as your internet isn't **** slow its saving the your own playlist to your account is like having your music saved on all of your devices. They have a site for IOS and Android as well as downloadable apps.
