1289254 2012-07-18 22:40:00 I use to play Populous 2 on my Amiga. You could also get a PC version of it. I use to spend hours playing. I bought the PC version of it about 6 weeks ago and got bored with it after 5 mins. Only cost me a couple of dollars.

1289255 2012-07-18 23:06:00 N64 was a great Console and Mario Kart 64 will always be a classic - IMO. Also the great FPS James Bond 007 Golden Eye! lordnoddy (3645)

Yep the N64 was a really good console in it's time. There is nothing like classic gaming. I love retro games like Keens Dreams,Commander Keen, Blues Brothers.....platform games of the old days are awesome. I am selling Golden Eye 007 for N64 at the mo. It was a great game to play.

1289259 2012-07-19 05:34:00 I've lost people to cancer and I wasn't offended by it, found it mildly amusing.

People get nostalgic for old games and hardware and pay silly prices for it, I personally never would. N64 was good for it's day but things have well and truly moved on, even a PS2 or original XBOX which you should be able to get cheap would totally own it for graphics quality.

On the other hand I used to play bombjack 2 on my C64 or Atari ST ( I forget which ) and I still enjoy it on the free machine at burger fuel with basically Identical graphics. Sometimes I wish they'd make more old school style games on modern hardware because they look like Sh1t now but were a lot of fun and totally different to play than modern games. I had a couple of vertical scrolling games like 1942 and Xenon 2 that I loved back in the day and there's nothing like that that I've seen any more. Controllers might be a problem though, I've tried emulators and the games ran ok but PC controllers are analog and you don't get the digital joysticks these games were designed for anymore.

I agree with you there.
It's rather strange how people would rather get an N64 than a PS2 or XBOX. But then there is that classic gaming element.

Bought the game downloaded and installed it and now the activation code won't work. Have complained to Ubisoft customer support. Tried so many times that I'm banned from trying any more.

Bummer.

I just downloaded and installed Test Drive Unlimited 2 through steam, I actually bout it at the start of the year but the amount of data (15gb) was bigger then my monthly cap, Now Im on 40Gb I thought I'd download the files.

So, I got the game files, installed, then it done an update of about 1GB, then it crashed, and stated that it needs to be reinstalled.

Yeah right, Like Im going to download another 15gb....
