You may have to use the removal tool. (blogs.msdn.com)This will remove all of the net framework installs. Then you'll have to start all over again. If you've got anything that uses any of them | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
2012-11-18 20:24:00 | That is what I was thinking of doing next. Just wondering if it was safe; That's my cautious side. :horrified | Vince (406) | |
2012-11-18 20:28:00 | If what was safe?? That cleanup tool?? Course it is | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-11-18 20:35:00 | I tried Fixit yesterday. It claimed to have fixed several things, but I could see no change. | Vince (406) | |
2012-11-18 20:37:00 | Use that tool then so it removes all. the versions. Then reinstall all of them again from 1.1. Dont forget 1.1's updates. Before you install the others (2,3, or 4). Or whatever versions you install. Or you may or will have the same probs, you're having now | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-11-19 01:42:00 | :annoyed::annoyed: If there's one thing I hate. Its software that's supposed to solve a problem, that ends up being one itself. I just download "dotnetfx_cleanup_tool" to my desktop and guess what it displays the "EAC" logo, that is (Exact Audio Copy); and that is what it opens with. When I click on it, "EAC" starts up. :groan::groan:

2012-11-19 01:54:00 | Did you extract it first? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-11-19 02:31:00 | Looks like EAC supports zip files, if it does, you have to extract that file first. With Windows built in unzipper. Or a program that can extract zip files. Otherwise EAC will open it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-11-19 20:52:00 | I deal with zipped folders so rarely that I forget what to do with them. Why didn't 7Zip catch it? Will run the tool later today.
Vince (406) | ||
2012-11-19 21:29:00 | Because EAC is the default program for zip files. That's why it opened it. You need to make 7zip the default program for zip files | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
