| 79297 | 2002-09-13 12:20:00 | At top right corner of internet Eplorer 6, there is a spinning globe of Microsoft Window logo. Is there any difference when the globe spin fast and slow? Does it mean the connection speed? Thanks anyone to clear my doubt :) |

| 79300 | 2002-09-13 21:30:00 | The spinning globe (or waving flag if you've got Win XP) is just an animated gif - it doesn't speed up or slow down :) If you think it does, it may be stopping and starting (for some unknown reason). Mike. |

If it's spinning it'll always spin at the same speed - I was suggesting that if it looks like its going faster or slower, it may be starting and stopping due to whatever reason (problems with IE, CPU load, different portions of the page loading, could be a number of reasons). But the way animated gifs work, they don't speed up or slow down - that would take up too much of the valuable programmers time <koff> :D Mike. |
