2002-09-12 22:24:00 | Hi all just need to know how (if poss) to edit a message in the sent items folder (outlook express 5.5) before resending it - some information has changed I need to convey - or can you only do it by copying and pasting to a new message? Cheers Lynne

2002-09-12 22:28:00 | When editing, It won't be re-saved to the sent items, but will be re-sent as you were wanting. Simply opening (Double Clicking) on the message will bring it up in it's own window. When you're done, Hit send and you're away! Cheers Chilling_Silence

2002-09-12 22:34:00 | yeah, I've tried doing that Chilling Silence, but there is no 'send' button to hit... I've had to copy and paste the text in the 'sent' email, to a new email... it's really weird. Cheers Kerry

2002-09-12 23:04:00 | ljhnz, I suggest just copying and pasting your text into a new email and send that off... I also have not been able to figure out a way to re-send emails from the 'sent' folder. Will post here again if I do find a way, so make sure you add this thread to your 'My Watches'. Cheers Kerry

2002-09-12 23:49:00 | You can forward it: Highlight the message, click Forward, do your alterations, re-enter your recipient/s and click Send. | Susan B (19) | |
2002-09-12 23:54:00 | does that add those annoying little > things to the beginning of each line of text that appeared in the original email though, Susan? As well as the email header? | Kerry Dodds (1477) | |
2002-09-13 00:00:00 | Oh, sorry, I forgot that I have my IE settings not to do that. I hate those > things and got rid of them long ago. If you want to change yours you go to Tools>Options>Send>Plain text settings and remove the tick from "Indent the original text with ..." . Do the same for the HTML settings too. But if you actually like those > things then yes, you are stuck with copying and pasting.
