78944 2002-09-12 13:25:00 Hi...
Anyone know Xteq X-Setup for tweaks?

Just peeping through this tweak program in the select wizards -System-Boot & timeout section witout entering anything in the dialog boxes. But when I reboot my PC, the boot menu reports a invalid line "bootmenudelay=" in msdos.sys. Even before opening the file (through find files or Folders) the modified tab showed it was in fact modified!
Infact several lines appear to be added near the bottom of this file seemingly by default (due I guess to navigating the tweak program and not entering data). How do I safely get rid of this invalid command when booting up and perhaps "refresh" the c:\msdos.sys file.

- Note: I do have a backup msdos.sys file that I copied to another folder 12 or so months back which has different command lines near the bottom(obeyed a PCworld NZ article on backups)...

Cheers...

78946 2002-09-12 22:24:00 tweak'e..

Use win98SE with ver. 6.1 of Xteq X-Setup. Did what you said and now PC boots without that invalid command...Bit of a worry though, with commands inadvertenly dropping in the msdos.sys file when directly "not tweaking" in the program...

Thanks a lot...
