| 79187 | 2002-09-13 09:20:00 | Hi I have been given 2x 15" unisys monitors, condition unknown. I have a problem with testing them as they don't have a vga cable and the socket on the back has only 2 rows of pins not the usual 3. They were made in 1995 so are not old ega or something. Can i get a 2 to 3 row cable somewhere??. Thanks |

You should be able to get a cheap unscreened 9 pin to 15 pin cable for about $20 from your local computer store, or an adapter in which case you would then need a 15 pin to 15 pin vga cable. They would probably get them from Pudneys. A fully screened cable is not going to be less than about $40-$50 retail, and not worth buying just to test out 2 possibly dubious monitors. http://www.pudney.co.nz There is a branch in Lower Hutt. It may be cheaper to take the monitors to a comp. store who may have a cable and ask them to fire the monitors up for you. |
