| 79855 | 2002-09-16 00:15:00 | In the August 2002 edition of PC World, you said how to create a boot disk for Windows XP. Does anyone know how to create a similar boot disk that will boot up MS-DOS. I can do it for FAT systems, however I have two hard drives (both NTFS), the master containing two 20GB partitions, and the slave a further 20GB. | 79856 | 2002-09-16 00:19:00 | Are you meaning you want a bootdisk that'll boot to DOS, but give you access to your NTFS partitions? I don't think it can be done. You might be able to download a utility from somewhere that'll let you access NTFS from DOS, but I've never heard of one. Mike. |

| 79859 | 2002-09-16 04:17:00 | Bit late for you now, but personally I always make the boot partition on an NT box FAT. Everything else can be NTFS but you need to be able to access the boot drive from DOS when things turn bad. robo. |
