| 79779 | 2002-09-15 12:17:00 | I have two Windows open, Outlook Express & F1. Oe is open & down in the Bar bottom of screen. I go into F1 & am reading etc. I hear OE ping, hit the "Minimize" square up top,which puts F1 into the bottom bar, bring OE back up to see the message, then click F1 on the bottom bar to bring back on screen, ok so far. But the new F1 message is not on screen. I have to back out of F1 via Red & White cross box top RH corner. Then come back in via my Desktop Icon & then the new massage can be located. Question is "Is this how it is supposed to happen" Thanks Puzzled Poppa John. |

| 79781 | 2002-09-15 12:41:00 | When I click on a PressF1 email in OE it opens a new IE6 window with the PressF1 message displayed in the new window. So there would then be three items on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, OE, IE6 (old PressF1 message I was reading), IE6 (new PressF1 message). BTW, you don't need to minimise the current window before switching to another one, just click on the relevant taskbar button. You can switch back and forth much quicker that way. I am using Win98SE so maybe it doesn't work quite the same with WinXP. Are you not getting a new IE6 window when you click on the link in the OE email? | Rod J (451) | ||

| 79783 | 2002-09-15 13:18:00 | You just need to refresh the browser window by either pressing the refresh button or pressing F5. Your browser will only refresh every so often depending on the site and your browser settings so it might be a while before it reloads itself and you see the new posts/replies. Thats why there seems to be a time difference between the window and the email. I have often beaten the email by refreshing the window | dipstick01 (445) | ||
| 79784 | 2002-09-16 09:22:00 | Ooops! I goofed a little there Poppa John! When I click on a new email message it just replaces the current IE window contents. It's when you click on a link inside a PressF1 IE window that it opens in a new window. OK, it sounds like you might be needing to press the refresh button as the others have said. Maybe you are too quick switching back to the IE window and have a slow internet connection? ;) | Rod J (451) | ||
| 79785 | 2002-09-16 09:29:00 | Poppa, just minimising and then restoring the IE window (PressF1) does not collect the "new" information. It just shows the information that was there when it downloaded last. To get a new look at whats there, you need to either click on the "refresh" button on the upper bar, or as they have mentioned, press F5. Then it should go away and download a new copy, with any new content. |
