79597 2002-09-15 05:51:00 Hi, I have tried copying Audio CDs but find that when I play them back on a home stereo or car stereo, there is a loud, constant noise in the background. Can anyone help me with any ideas on how to avoid this? Thanks for your help. LYnda PS I run WinME, 1000 mhz, 20 gb drive and 8x4x32 (I think) writer. lyndahull (382)
79598 2002-09-15 07:12:00 Are the original CDs in good condition? Are they nice and clean when you copy them?

It is recommended to burn them at a slow speed - I use 8x and mine are fine.

79599 2002-09-15 08:05:00 you could try useing cdex or EAC to rip the audio off the the hardrive before you burn it to cd. this gives you a range of optoins to get the best possible copy. tweak'e (174)
