Not sure what you mean by that. What I have is the MS media player vrsion which came with XP combined with My Music folder where I have all my Favourite music. Can you enlarge on your Post please? Poppa John :|

79635 2002-09-15 10:21:00 i would use winamp, has far more features such as read cd's digitally and cddb access. i prefer ver 2.81....ver 3 is a little to new at the mo. tweak'e (174)
79636 2002-09-15 10:57:00 Thanks Chris. I had the same problem as Ron, and just assumed that the higher speed CD player was the problem, because CDs played fine on the same PC on a very slow Iomega CD Writer.

Followed your advice, downloaded WinAmp 2.81, and voila, the spitting, spluttering and inexplicable pops and breaks in Audio CDs have gone. Clearly the problem rests with yet another of Rich Bill's defective products.

Thanks again. Hope it works for Ron as well. I am just enjoying David Kilgour "Feather in the engine" again!

79637 2002-09-15 11:51:00 Because i'm a kind loving and wonderful human being, i decided to put a link to a couple of older versions of winamp i found Here (www.something.net.nz) These would be good for the older machines, they're both very no frills, and excellant dukeboxes! the newer one is exactly what i use.
