I had the same problem as Ron, and just assumed that the higher speed CD player was the problem, because CDs played fine on the same PC on a very slow Iomega CD Writer. Followed your advice, downloaded WinAmp 2.81, and voila, the spitting, spluttering and inexplicable pops and breaks in Audio CDs have gone. Clearly the problem rests with yet another of Rich Bill's defective products. Thanks again. Hope it works for Ron as well. I am just enjoying David Kilgour "Feather in the engine" again! John |
