79911 2002-09-16 02:09:00 For a web camera would like to see if could insert the current temperature. Had a quote for a device at about $800 – then would need a thermometer with suitable output.
Does anyone have a “number 8 wire” suggestion?!
Thanks

79912 2002-09-16 02:42:00 Hi again

If you could live with a separate web page with all weather details, DSE sell a weather station (yes, of course I have one) and there is software available (NZ written) here (www.qsl.net)

79913 2002-09-16 06:01:00 If you are prepared to build equipment, there are some pretty clever chips made by Dallas. Have a look for "2-wire weather station" on google. There are some keen groups ... Graham L (2)

79915 2002-09-16 06:40:00 Hi Baldy. I have been known to make a Hell of a racket, but..no. Not a member.

Did not know there was such a thing, looked them up...well I never.

I monitor Temperature (in/out/max/min) atm.pressure, wind direction and speed, dew point, humidity, rainfall. I guess in Dunedin you would only need wind speed and rainfall...?

I used to log it automatically on the PC, but don't at the moment. Might get keen one day and ftp it to my website.
