I say It is possible to copy and paste the funnybits into a new e-mail, but most epople are too lazy and just hit the forward button. Even more enfuriating, they forward all the original senders eamila addresses, and bulk e-mail, usinfg the "to" feild so every sees everyelses e-mail addresses, and so do the spammers, and various viri etc etc. |

2002-09-15 07:05:00 | does this only happen to forwarded emails | Ron Bakker (356) | |
2002-09-15 07:10:00 | Sorry about the insomnia-illiteracy shown in the above post... oops! Yes, this only happens with forwarded e-mails, unless of course someone somewhere has far too much time on their hands!

2002-09-15 07:30:00 | Ron, I find those >>> emails a pain in the butt as well. Being so finicky I have to "clean" them up before I forward them on which can take some time. I have found a program that "washes" your emails to bring them back to a readable format - I haven't tried it myself but you may find it useful. Mailwash (op.onza.net) program. Cheers Jen

2002-09-15 07:39:00 | OK, re Mailwash program. I have just figured out that it is not a downloadable "program" but a web-based service that you have to be online to use. Just right click on the MailWash 1.2 (2.41 KB) link and select save target as and save to your desktop. That way when you need to wash a email you can link directly to the webpage (or I guess you can just add the site to your favourites :-) ) Cheers again Jen
