| 79603 | 2002-09-15 06:15:00 | I run win 98 2nd edition and all files I have do not show the '.' part, so instead of having 'word.exe' it would just have 'word'. Could anyone tell me how to change that setting? | angry_bever (1899) | ||
| 79604 | 2002-09-15 06:58:00 | In Windows Explorer go to View>Folder Options>View and remove the tick from "Hide file extensions for all known file types". Click OK all the way out. | Susan B (19) | ||
| 79605 | 2002-09-15 07:05:00 | Here ya go Click Start - Settings - Folder Options - View Take the tick out of the box next to "Hide File Extensions for Known File Types" You can also do this within Explorer by Clicking View on the top toolbar, then Folder Options, Click the View Tab then un-click Hide File Extensions for Known File Types as above.
