2002-09-16 07:50:00 I must have missed something.... I use Clearnet 150, and am very happy with this. However, when I examined my last Telecom account it appears that I have to pay 2cents/minute for my internet access. This obviously makes my $14.95 Clearnet ISP account less attractive. What does Xtra do? Is it more cost effective? My heart somewhat quails at changing my email address at this stage....:-( R.M. (561)
2002-09-16 08:01:00 It looks like clear.net have recently changed their dialup numbers. Using the 0867 numbers will avoid Telecom's draconian 2c/min charge.

2002-09-16 08:10:00 I don't live in one of the major cities - is there an option for the provincial towns yet - eg Invercargill? R.M. (561)
2002-09-16 08:24:00 All the information is on the ClearNet home page, and they give an 0867 number for Invertarctica - sorry, Invercargill.

2002-09-16 08:46:00 Cheeky aren't you? We've had a lovely day today....But best not talk about last week.....Many thanks - I'll follow that one up! :-) R.M. (561)
2002-09-16 09:37:00 The only difficulty I get now, is the need to redial, redial. Oh well, I guess you nothing for nothing in this world! R.M. (561)
2002-09-16 09:58:00 R.M. I tried Clear as well, ex Zfree, to see what the Home150 was like, before I quit Xtra. I also found all the Re-dialling to get on the Net too much & stayed with xtra. I figured I was getting what I paid for in both cases. Not much help to you but thats my 2c worth. Poppa John. Poppa John (284)
2002-09-19 20:27:00 I changed my Clearnet dialup number to an 0867.... one the other night, and other than having difficulty getting connected that night (a couple of times) all has been well since. HOWEVER I got my latest Telecom account yesterday, and there are no charges on it that seem to equate to the 2 cents/minutes. Has there been another change in charging policy that I have missed (again)? ?:| R.M. (561)
2002-09-19 21:36:00 RM, I've been using the Clear.Net local dial number here in Tauranga (not the 0867) and have not had any added charges from Telecom in a couple of years (back then Clear refunded all extra Telecom charges, so it wasn't a problem) - maybe you should question Telecom about it?
