80145 2002-09-16 21:32:00 After the computer is shut down and the moniter is not switched off a screen comes up with
factory burn in
31-5khz 60 h7
75.43.25
the last numbers are a clock and when it gets to 60 seconds it switchs the moniter off and then restarts and this just keeps repeating all the time ...
Is there a purpose for this ??. shall i just turn the moniter off and forget about it ' can i disable it ?? just learning

80146 2002-09-16 23:12:00 Yeah, turn the screen off. The screen has a built in self-test which runs when there's no signal from the computer - which will be because you've turned the system off. the screen should just go into standby mode after it's down it's test, but it seems the test on your screen isn't working properly, so just turn it off.

80148 2002-09-17 00:52:00 Power management is one of my pet hates.
My preferred method of power management for the monitor, is to turn it OFF when i go to bed, and flick it back ON when i get up and want to see how the nights downloads went. I found a special facility for doing this, just under the post-it-note i ignore on the lower right hand side of the monitor itself.

For some lucky peoples, Power management can work, without causing problems!!!!!
