80337 2002-09-17 09:12:00 new toy(laptop) coming and want to use it at work as well so need client based lan access - currently runnning w98se for home desktop and wondering of opinion for which os (comes with xp home) - and a bit worried bout compatibility issues with software i currently run

any view would be greatly rx'd

80338 2002-09-17 10:40:00 If you need to log into a domain based network, home XP home won't do it. Needs Pro. If your software is DOS based then you may have an issue with XP, but I find XP very good. godfather (25)

80342 2002-09-18 05:50:00 software running = office 2000, abode photoshop 5.5, acdsee 3.1, turbocad 6, musicmatch 7.2, lotsa games (unreal tournament, links 2001, silent service 2, motocross madness 2, wc3, sof2, nwn etc) cool edit pro, nortons utilities 2001, cheyenne bitware and the list goes on and on,
