80363 2002-09-18 04:31:00 Baldy - I know where you live, the stormtroopers are on their way now.

But seriously, I know the $89 sounds like a lot, but it does save you a little (get a free copy a year). The cost of the mag is higher than it used to be, but compares well to something like the Listener or TV Guide when you consider what is in it. Not as cheap as just coming here, though.

And yes, iMag is cheaper, but appeals to different people (mostly).

I keep saying I will subscribe to the Listener and never do. I should. It's cheaper and I could win something. I still don't.

Subs are weird. Lots of people mean to but never do. I have been subscribed to PCW for twelve years, but there's a reason for that. We get Sabrina's Secrets, too.

80366 2002-09-18 05:03:00 I don't get P C W neither weekly nor by yearly sub. I noted at the new World supermarket, this morning, that a copy was $8.95. If there were a choice between P C W & my weekly vegies, then I am afraid the vegies win every time. Poppa John :| Poppa John (284)
80367 2002-09-18 05:10:00 Sorry, Typo:
Rather

PJ,
Although vegie make you grow up big and strong, there's nothing like some good food for though :D

You musn't eat very many vegies, or do you just shop at a REAL good vegie shop?

80368 2002-09-18 05:24:00 You are right, not many vegies. Not many of these either, $$$$$. Poppa John :| Poppa John (284)
80369 2002-09-18 07:45:00 I'm suprised no one has mentioned Robo's subscription to Sabrina's Secrets yet .... ;-)

oh by the way, PC World comes wrapped in plastic - doesn't get wet :-)

I was fortunate - my subscription was a xmas present. Maybe thats what you can ask Santa for this year PJ? I am, again.

All we need now is some sort of storage container and an index so we can find a particular article on demand! Nothing worse than looking through 3 years of PC Worlds for one particular piece of info, and being distracted by other articles, so you forget what you were looking for in the first place.

:D

Don't you get a contra-copy Robo?

I am like Poppa....... I never have a spare $90 to send off for a sub. I know I could save the cost of a magazine, but prefer to buy by "drip_feed"

[B]POPPA: Why don't you buy a few packets of seeds and get the PCW magazine....... or go to Countdown and buy the mag with the savings in the price of the vegies compared to what you pay at NW[B]
