81035	2002-09-19 22:06:00	VK... If a site was to display every font on earth, it'd have to do it with pictures, as you wouldn't have the fonts on your system to display with. Displaying so many pictures on a page would probably take hours on dial-up :D When I was running Win ME I had 768 fonts installed, and it took long enough just for Word to display them in the Font selection box, and 768 fonts isn't nearly all the fonts in the world - I'd say it'd be above 10000, perhaps even towards 100,000. I mean I had these 768 fonts, then installed Win XP, and there were fonts in there that I didn't have previously. I had a look at an e-Mac the other day, and that had fonts I don't have on my Win XP machine. In Linux the other day I saw some fonts that aren't in Windows as well. There's lots of them, and I don't think you'll want to wait while a page loads them all, that's if there's a page that has them all (I doubt it, and if there was one it'd be out of date already as people are writing new fonts every day).
