| 80817 | 2002-09-18 21:39:00 | Hi all, I am doing some regular backups and have come across a programme that does not want to be backed up . I find Nero bit overwhelming so I just follow the wizard . The steps are: compile new cd / data cd / create a new data -CD / finish . I drag and drop the . exe and hit burn . I let Nero do it's thing and few minutes later it confirms that it is successful . Now the problem is that I can't read the file or execute it or anything . When I double click on icon it just hangs and computer freezes . Only way out is to reboot . This CD wont play on friends computer as well . I am curious as to why this is happening . I have successfully used Nero to backup files before . As a test I repeated the process and added other files to the CD (new cd) . I can read those files but not the . exe file . I can run the . exe file from my harddrive no problem . any ideas XP Pro, acer 12x8x32 sam m |

I can't seem to see that with Nero. There is a 'finalize' function there but I don't know how to 'finalize' the cd now. Also I don't know whether the cd is 'closed' or not or whether that is the problem. How do I tell with Nero? I have been searching for answers via the net. Personally I prefer cd creator as it is a lot easier to use. Unfortunately my version (4) does not work with XP. |
