| 80919 | 2002-09-19 02:33:00 | Somebody has set MSN Messenger (Windows Messenger) to remember their password on XP on one of the work computers, and now it won't forget it. How can I make it do it? (Please 'scuse the ignorance of XP, It's not my fav O/S) Cheers Chilling_Silence |

In the window that opens, click on the name of the user account you are currently using. On the new screen click "Manage my network passwords" from the box in the top left. A new window should open, with all the stored User Names and passwords, highlight the one that says "Passport.Net\*(Passport)", and click on the Remove button, then close all the windows. Now you may need to restart, I'm not sure - try at least logging out then back in and then connect, and Windows Messenger (as it's called in XP) will not automatically connect to that users account anymore. HTH Mike. |
