80705 2002-09-18 11:23:00 Yes it is possible to convert a DVD player to multizone.
How it is done depends on what brand and model.
Next Electronics is one local company that I have seen advertising that they can "chip" a DVD player for multizone.
But do some research on the net first. All you may have to do with your DVD player is enter a service mode and change a setting.

Also be aware that "chipping" your player will void any warrenty.

80710 2002-09-19 08:03:00 I saw a unit in Warehouse Stationery which was already "zone-free". It said so on the packaging, anyway. $299. It was a week ago or so, and I don't know if it was a special. Graham L (2)
