81103 2002-09-19 22:39:00 I have noticed a directory in windows called 'applog' with a subdirectory called 'appPatch'. In that is a file called 'msimain.sdb'. Is this able to be safely deleted? What is it? nixon (1956)
81104 2002-09-19 23:29:00 Well, I wouldn't.

The AppPatch folder is the default location for all prepackaged compatibility fixes, log files, and QFixApp custom compatibility databases.

The msimain.sdb is a database within that folder.

Why do you want to delete it?

81105 2002-09-20 00:11:00 applog is to do with defragg . it keeps track of programs and when they are used etc .

if you delete it windows will rebuild it . sometimes if you are having problems with defrag deleteing the applog folder can fix a few problems .
