81820 2002-09-21 10:56:00 Who else is using Netscape 7 ?

I have just downloaded it, and have never run any of the previous Netscape browsers to compare it to, but would have to say so far it seems pretty impressive.

Chris Keall did a mini review in this months (Oct) IMag

81824 2002-09-21 11:35:00 Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org)

This is what NS7 is based on. Though NS7 is based on the older code. Mozilla is free it's not part of some AOL/TimeWarner/whoever deal.

81825 2002-09-21 11:58:00 So what if it is part of AOl it is still free.

NS 7 is a great browser, much improved over NS 6 and is a viable alternative to IE especially if you want to be free of all the security issues and frequent updates to address all the problems. For those who have never used it NS also has a very good mail program as part of the browser which is worth trying out as an alternative to OE

81826 2002-09-24 20:13:00 Check out the user reviews on CNET: download.com.com .........or........... go to http://download.com ____ download page / search (for Netscape 7.0).

NS7 has a 75% approval rating. The reviews are mixed, but most all reviews are!
