I have an E70f flat screen monitor and despite fiddling for ages with the pin cushion settings etc I can't get perfectly square/ straight screen edges - they have a slight but annoying curve in them. Is this a common problem with flat screen monitors?

second question - I have a set of Linux mandrake 8.2 CDs and a file that gives the "mdsums" that the CDs are supposed to be - how do you find out the "checksum" of a CD.

Flat screens are *slightly* more prone to error due to geometry, but not by that much.
