| 81565 | 2002-09-20 22:54:00 | Hi To flash update the BIOS, do I have to reboot to DOS first? I went to their website and the instruction didn't mention about booting to dos first. As for Gigabyte MB, I remember we have to boot to DOS in order to flash the BIOS. Cheers bk |

| 81566 | 2002-09-20 23:02:00 | use a boot disk to boot to dos. have the flash program and new bios on a floppy (SCAN DISK THE FLOOPIES BEFORE USE) before you boot with floppy, go into bios and turn off any virus protection and any bios cacheing (including video cacheing). check with gigabyte site as some mobo makers have flash bios tools that can do it from windows. |
