| 81479 | 2002-09-20 13:33:00 | I'm wanting to do a full install of Linux on my hard drive. :O I''m running my hard drive off a Promise 20726 (IIRC?) RAID chip. I'm not running it in RAID though. Just in plain ATA133. Both Mandrake 8.2 and Red Hat 7.3 will not detect this and complain that they have nothing to write to. Any ideas as to where some drivers would be. I've looked at Red Hat but their site is shocking. Promise have a linux support area but don't seem to mention anywhere (on the whole site) the chip that I've got. It's onboard on a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP |

| 81481 | 2002-09-20 14:18:00 | I managed to find one at the Gigabyte site but it is a beta at the moment. So I don't know if I should give that a go or not. I might just go for swapping the HDD on to the main controller. | -=JM=- (16) | ||
