| 81749 | 2002-09-21 07:06:00 | Serial no.s for electronic equipment do not protect against theft, but f you stuff is stolen, and the police find it, you can prove it is yours as you know the serial no. Another way is to buy a UV pen (Only shows up under UV light) and write a number or name on all your stuff. Again, it doesn't magically stop people stealing your stuff, but if you see someone selling it, or the police find it, you can prove it is yours. It is up to you if you want to write all your serial numbers in a book. Remember photos help especially with insurance claims. G P |
