| 81603 | 2002-09-21 02:40:00 | Hi, im having trouble with linux setting up my sound card. I have a realtech "AC97 audio" sound card, linux recongizes it but it wont use it. I've tried configuring it with sndconfig but that didn't work and it now seems to have dissapeared. Also i have a s3 savage DDR intergrated video card, how do i change its video memory (i said it only had 4 instead of 16). Im using redhat linux 7.2 and KDE3 and Gnome |

Such things are usually documented ... read everything in the READMEs etc with packages. You should be able to fix the video with Xconfigurator or xf86config. (Or even the graphic configuration tools in one of the GUIs). |
