82077 2002-09-22 22:13:00 I don't know of any way to stop a user from deleting the history files in Internet Explorer. Are you wanting to keep track of someone's web surfing habits?

If so, there are ways to do this but it is not recommended unless the other person is fully aware that you are capable of doing it. Spying on them without their knowledge could be illegal.

82078 2002-09-22 23:55:00 Presumption is the browser is IE.

In a networked environment via a proxy server, check the log files against the assigned IP address for the client.

In a non-networked environment or without a proxy server, create a group with limited (check the MS kb as this particular modification involves IE as well as Windows) permissions and assign the user to that group.

In the case if another browser, check the manufacturer's site.
