81884 2002-09-22 03:09:00 I have IE6. Should I expect to have Outlook Express 6? My version appears to be v.4.72. How can I upgrade it? poppy (552)
81885 2002-09-22 03:33:00 I think you're supposed to get it included but who knows.
If you go here search.microsoft.com then maybe you'll find what you need.
Good luck :-)

81886 2002-09-22 06:53:00 I could be wrong, but if you upgraded from an earlier version of IE and ran the preliminary setup part of the installation you should have either got the choice of upgrading OE then for a custom install, or it should have be upgraded automatically.

My version is 5.000 and I run IE 5.5 so it does seem as though you have an old version. Maybe you could run the setup again.

81887 2002-09-22 08:36:00 Using IE 5.00 - update SP2 - and Outlook is 5.50. Also W98se. If it works OK I probally wouldn't worry too much. Try Susans idea anyway.
Bye

81888 2002-09-23 04:06:00 thanks for those replies. I went to the microsoft website but was intimidated by the gobblede gook. And how do I run setup again SusanB? poppy (552)
81889 2002-09-23 06:56:00 poppy, this page (windowsupdate.microsoft.com) at Microsoft should be the one to visit.

It will ask you if you want to run the update thingy, say yes and after a few minutes it will tell you what updates you need or have missing.

You will then get the chance to choose what you want to download and install. Just follow the instructions and if you are still not sure, post back here.

81890 2002-09-23 09:59:00 Thanks Susan B. Don't know why I didn't go direct to Windows Update in the first place! Sometimes the most obvious things elude fuddy duddys like me. Very grateful. poppy (552)
