| 81900 | 2002-09-22 02:50:00 | Can anyone please tell me the processing speed difference between 266DDR RAM, 333DDR RAM & 400DDR RAM. For example, would 256 of 400DDR RAM have the same processing ability of 512 of 266DDR RAM. If anyone knows of any reference wesites that give such info, please advise Thanks, Calum |

| 81901 | 2002-09-22 03:05:00 | its ram not a processor. there is no "processing speed". its more to do with bandwidth. 400ddr has a bigger bandwidth than 266ddr. ie 400ddr can transfer more megabytes per sec than 266ddr. HOWEVER it depends greatly on the chipset and cpu. for 400ddr you need a 400ddr chipset and a cpu fast enough to use it to its fullest. |
