81870 2002-09-22 01:00:00 Hi, in Win98 they are saved in C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes. If your OS doesnt have this folder then do a search for a folder called Themes.

81871 2002-09-22 01:06:00 have you read the other thread on themes, cause I think GP or JM mentions where to put them in that thread.

81872 2002-09-22 01:14:00 If not, you should be able to simply double-click on mythe.theme or whatever. The theme should then be put on, the tab in the display properties will show it as well.

81873 2002-09-22 02:53:00 Chris, as said before, open the themes in winzip or similar program and extract the.msstyle file to it's own folder inside C:\windows\resources\themes

If it still doesn't appear it is a poorly designed theme. It should still work, just double-click on the .msstyle file once you have put it in the above location.

81874 2002-09-22 06:04:00 None of the bove will make sense if you dont have themes installed!

Go to add/remove programs, click on the setup tab, and hunt for themes in there to install it.

and then opened it used winzip and inside it it has...........

font folder,
sysmetric_skin.zip (inside here is 4 pictures (bitmap) and a ini file)
rainlendar_skin.zip (inside here is a bitmap pic and a ini file)

Delete all those files out of C:\Windows\Resources, and extract them to a temporary folder (I put them in D:\Junk), and then run the above executable file "odessaxp_final.exe" and it'll install them for you. Some themes you just add to the Resources folder manually, but occasionally one will have an install program so it'll add them automatically for you.

Mike.

PS WOW! I learned all that yesterday after setting up themes on my computer :D
