| 82292 | 2002-09-23 08:46:00 | the xbox is only a few days away what do people thing of them? I have been reading reviews all night but still cant decide if i should get one. I have a PS2 and love it but some games are only being released on xbox so i am thing i will get one........ what do you all think?? |

| 82293 | 2002-09-23 09:04:00 | I've seen it and a PS2 side by side. GTConcept on the PS2 and Project Gotham Racing on the XBox. IMOHO the PS2 looked nicer, with smoother graphics. The Xbox had rather jerky FMV. The XBox controller has been ripped straight off a Gamecube, having off centre sticks (left is at top and right is at bottom) and front buttons you have to push in way too far to make 'em click. Mind, Im used to the PS controller, however it works for me and the Xbox controller just feels weird. Gamewise, I love all of the GT series, as boring as they can get. I don't yet have a PS2 but will definately be getting one ASAP! Gotham Racing was a bit puk-puk and weird, where you start of with some cars, and have to earn sort of "Mana" before you get new cars and tracks. You get points for doing 'tricks' like going sideways around corners and lose them for things like bunting a wall. Starts off very hard and I played for all of 2 minnutes before I headed back to the PS2 which was demoing GTConcept. :D Anyway, the closing point is that I doubt very much you'll ever find Linux on an XBox... |

| 82295 | 2002-09-23 09:27:00 | I watched a X Box running a snowboarding game the other day and the graphics didn't seem to be as good as they claim they are. But with the added features for xbox and playstation coming in the future I would have to seriously think about which one to get, game cube is out of the question, I have never been a big nintendo fan. | Sam H (525) | ||

Think there will be a wider range of games for the PS2........ saw a PS2 game advertised on TV last night (Atari car racing or whatever it was called) which looked absolutely awsome. Have a feeling that Playstation will reign supreme and X-Box will sleigh it out with GameCube etc BALDY:-) Probably be never in a position to be able to afford any of them LOL |

| 82297 | 2002-09-23 10:41:00 | Well you can LAN an XBOX :D But on the whole I think I'd prefer a PS2. In the end though they're both consoles. We all know what consoles are for. Their for making the little people use so that you can still use the PC. They're still good if you can't afford a PC which is up to playing games. Or want the PC to be game free. |
